A responsive E-shop, in the new look & feel of Tele2. We could start working immediately in the (for Tele2) new CMS Teamsite. The E-shop went live with a new homepage, 3 landing pages and at least 49 device pages. We also migrated 110 content pages that are going live at a later date.
I am Joy, contentmanager at Crossphase. Let me tell you more about how we tackled this great project.
The look & feel of Tele2 got an upgrade. As a result, the most important pages had to be transferred to Teamsite. It was my team's task to complete this content migration within 4 months. And we did it!
It was Tele2’s wish to use the same systems as T-mobile for the E-shop and the website. But Tele2's content managers were busy enough with the regular work, so extra capacity was needed for migrating content to the new system. And that's where Crossphase came in! It was my honour to migrate and set up the website.
When Tele2 was taken over by T-Mobile, almost all Tele2 processes moved to the T-Mobile infrastructure. This also applied to the website. The migration took place at a very busy time, there was enormous commercial momentum and also a relocation (literally and metaphorically). Joy stepped in and tackled the migration with both hands. Structured and kept the speed going. An enormous positive contribution to the entire migration.
When I joined the project - which was already in full progress by the way - there was no specific plan of action for the content migration yet. That is why I drew up a complete migration plan. Sidenote: I started at Tele2 in March 2020, so Corona had just turned the world upside down. Fortunately, I had seen my immediate colleagues for the first three days. After that, I worked from home, just like the rest of the country.
Full of enthusiasm I set to work on a schedule and a progress document. In this way it became crystal clear what still needed to be done and what the status of certain tasks was. Making this planning was a challenge: the delivery times changed because of different wishes and / or the adjustment of delivered components. But the work process went well and the mutual communication - even with 'the new way of working' - was excellent.
Some of my tasks:
Joy really owned the Tele2 migration project and it was certainly not easy. T-Mobile's CMS is not that common, but Joy quickly mastered this knowledge. Essential to be able to work independently on this project and then complete it successfully. In addition, she left her work organised by documenting everything for the other content managers.
Of course I di not work on this project alone. A number of colleagues from Tele2 were also involved in the migration. I could not have done this content migration without the other content managers, developers, designers and colleagues from sales.
We achieved success together with these professionals. Also: I felt very welcome in the team. Despite corona, I really felt like part of the Tele2 team. This is how I managed to achieve the goals of Tele2: migrating pages to Teamsite. With a fantastic new look & feel.
