The content migration of Renault Nederland was finished on time. The new website went live containing:
Rolling out a big project with the deadline in the middle of the summer: that’s asking for trouble. Yet we were in luck; all went smoothly! Thanks to a clear head and a professional approach the content migration went almost completely perfect. Crossphase was entirely in control, which was reassuring and produced a positive end result!
The website that Renault was using before my arrival was not that old. Also, the CMS had only been in use since recently. However, the CMS would no longer receive any major updates.. As such, it was necessary for Renault Nederland to switch to a new platform as soon as possible. It was my honour to coordinate this content migration.
The objectives asked for expertise in content migration. And Crossphase can deliver this! As Content manager at Renault I was responsible for:
Project Team
I wasn’t alone in this project: a few colleagues from Renault and other organisations were also involved in the migration. My Crossphase colleague René kept the existing website of Renault running until the migration.
Project Planning
The new Renault website was planned for go-live at the end of July, because at the French headquarters almost everyone went on holiday in August. If this deadline was not met, the launch would be postponed for a month and a half. So the pressure was on. But despite a tight period of four months, we met the deadline!
The content migration from Renault was a great challenge. The deadline was pretty tight. And a lot had to be done! Fortunately, it all worked out. I am proud that we delivered the new website before the summer holidays
